PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid dynamic pressure bearing device for preventing the worsening of the circularity of the inner peripheral face of a bearing portion, and to provide a spindle motor and a disc drive mechanism. SOLUTION: In the inner peripheral face of a housing 30, vertical grooves 32a extending in the axial direction are formed at equal spaces in the peripheral direction. The outer peripheral face of a sleeve 10 formed of a sintered body having a cylindrical outer peripheral face is fixed to the inner peripheral face of the housing 30 to form a communication hole 32.
