The defroster has an outlet (201) for air flow and a face plate (202) for covering the outlet during off-state of defrost function. A drive (216) is provided for the face plate, where the drive positions the face plate during off-state of the defrost function. The face plate is provided with two face place segments that are moveable relative to each other, where face plate is provided below a surface of a dashboard (200).
