<p>Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a low-cost tape having excellent gas-barrier properties which is suitable as a strip tape for liquid food containers. Also disclosed is such a tape. Specifically disclosed is a strip tape (6) including an intermediate layer (7) composed of a drawn polyester film, a band-like coating film (8) of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer which is formed on a surface of the intermediate layer (7) in the central zone of the strip tape in the transverse direction, non-coated bands (9, 9) formed on both sides of the coating film (8), and heat-sealing outermost layers (10, 10) composed of a low-density polyethylene or the like.</p> |
