<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having a superior self-safety function even in trouble without sacrificing battery characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery comprises positive electrodes 3a, 3b, negative electrodes 2a, 2b, an electrolytic solution and a separator. Any two outermost-layer electrode of an electrode structure, in which the positive electrodes 3a, 3b and the negative electrodes 2a, 2b arranged in plural, is negative electrode.
