<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing apparatus and a portable terminal providing information which changes every moment in real time without requiring extra labor, holding down costs for introducing the apparatus, effectively promoting information acquisition to a user, and performing active visible light communication under the environment where light sources of a plurality of colors exist. <P>SOLUTION: The information providing apparatus 10 provides a user with different pieces of specified information, and is provided with: lighting communication units 14(1) to 14(n) for optical emitting in colors different from one another that correspond to the respective pieces of specified information and for optically transmitting the respective pieces of specified information by visible lights; and a mobile terminal 16 for receiving visible lights different in color selectively, extracting the respective pieces of specified information from the selected visible lights, and reproducing the extracted respective pieces of specified information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
