<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus of generating image data which can execute editing operations of image processing control information or shooting conditions. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 161 selects the image data selected by a user from a memory card MC, and displays the image processing control information associated with the selected image data on a liquid crystal display 19. Upon completion of the editing of the image processing control information, the CPU 161 determines whether or not the image processing information has been changed. If determining that the image processing control information has been changed, the CPU 161 updates the image processing control information GI described in the image data.
