<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain sprocket for suppressing the vertical movement of a chain, noises and an intermittent speed change of the chain by suppressing polygonal movement, and to provide a transmission device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The chain sprocket 11 has a plurality of teeth 12 formed by tooth flanks 13, 14 facing each other and arranged at spaces on the outer periphery of the sprocket and a circular tooth bottom 17 formed between the adjacent teeth 12, 12 in a range from the tooth flanks 13, 14. The tooth 12 has a tooth thickness W greater than that of a tooth 2 in an ISO tooth form and gradually smaller from a pitch line pc toward a tooth tip 15. Thus, at a biting portion of the chain into the sprocket, a roller 9 has first contact with the tooth flank 14 on the rear side in the rotating direction of the sprocket to suppress the polygonal movement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
