PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of an electro-optic apparatus such as a liquid crystal apparatus, while keeping an area of an image display region as it is. SOLUTION: The electro-optic apparatus is constituted by sandwiching an electro-optic material between a pair of first and second substrates, and the first substrate includes an overhang section in which one edge hangs over the second substrate in a plane view. The first substrate includes; a plurality of pixel sections; a scanning line drive circuit; a data line drive circuit and a plurality of external circuit connection terminals. The scanning line drive circuit and drawing wiring lines for the scanning line drive circuit which are drawn from a part of the external circuit connection terminals to the scanning line drive circuit are arranged in a region where the second substrate exists on the first substrate in a plane view, in a peripheral region other than the overhang section.
