<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable printer without fear of rain water or the like entering the main body even when a printing paper is cut outdoors at the time of use on a rainy day or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This portable printer is equipped with: a paper feeding section 2 which houses the printing paper 6; a printing section which prints information on the printing paper 6 which is fed from the paper feeding section 2; a platen 3 which holds the printing paper 6 when printing is performed by the printing section; and a discharging port 10A which discharges a printed section of the printing paper 6 to the outside of a casing of the printer main body. The casing is equipped with an eave 4 which prevents rain water from entering the discharging port 10A.
