PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fin and tube type heat exchanger superior in unit attachment work preventing coating puddles even when a dip coating method exercising an anticorrosive effect is applied to the fin and tube type heat exchanger used in a refrigerator or the like. SOLUTION: The fin and tube type heat exchanger is provided with a multiplicity of fins 13 arranged in parallel with each other at certain intervals, attachment plates 15 arranged in parallel with each other on both sides of the fin 13, U-shaped tubes 12 perpendicularly inserted in the fins 13 and passing a fluid through interiors, and return bends 14 connecting the U-shaped tubes 12. It is superior in unit attachment work preventing coating puddles 19 by a shape of an upper part bent face 16 of the attachment plate 15 even when baking finish of a rustproofing coating which is thermosetting resin is carried out on the whole surface by the dip coating method or the like.
