PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which a good image can be outputted without contaminating the interior of the recorder or the rear surface of a recording medium even when "marginless recording" is performed with ink having aggregation properties. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording method comprises a step for imparting an ink absorber with liquid for inhibiting aggregation of a color material contained in ink. Consequently, aggregation of the color material is suppressed on the surface of the absorber and the color material is absorbed quickly into the absorber.
