PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor where the rotor shaft is prevented from oscillating over the entire angle permitted by a gap of bearing which holds the shaft. SOLUTION: An electric motor is of a type, where stators 1, 5, 8 having air gap extending around an axis are provided, rotating magnetic field is designed so as to be generated in the stators, rotors 11, 12, 13 are provided, the rotors include a shaft 11 retained rotatably by a bearing 10, and a permanent magnet 13 driven so as to rotate about the axis by the rotating magnetic field. The stators 1, 5, 8 are designed to generate asymmetrical stationary magnetic components in the rotating direction relative to the axis, in addition to the rotating magnetic field.
