PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device in which an antenna including a function as a carrying handle can be integrated with a main body of a portable device, does not become an obstacle in carrying and is safe, and a broadcast receiver using the antenna device. SOLUTION: The antenna device 101 in combination with a carrying handle is provided on an upper part of a display unit 1 of a flat panel display device 100. An arc-side portion, of the antenna device 101 in combination with the carrying handle, has a semi-elliptical shape including a linear first side and a bowstring-side second side, a length of the first side is made into an approximately 1/2 wavelength of a higher frequency of an operational frequency band, and a length of the second side is made into an approximately 1/2 wavelength of a lower frequency of a reception frequency band.
