PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion apparatus employing a LUT and an interpolation arithmetic operation for realizing highly accurate interpolation with a small circuit scale. SOLUTION: The color conversion apparatus includes: an approximate calculation means wherein when dividing a range of input values into regions at an interval in the unit of 2<SP>n</SP>and obtaining a ratio resulting from dividing a differenceΔbetween an input value and a start value of a region including the input value by a size of the region including the input value, the approximate calculation means carries out approximate calculation by using calculation ofΔ÷2<SP>n</SP>in the case that the size of the region is 2<SP>n</SP>, or by using calculation ofΔ÷2<SP>n</SP>×(1+1/2<SP>n</SP>) in place of calculation ofΔ÷(2<SP>n</SP>-1) in the case that the calculation size of the region is 2<SP>n</SP>-1; an interpolation apex selection means for selecting an interpolation apex used for the interpolation arithmetic operation by using the value of the ratio outputted by the approximate calculation means by the number of dimensions of the input; and an interpolation coefficient calculation means for calculating an interpolation coefficient by using the selection information obtained by the interpolation apex selection means and the value of the ratio outputted from the approximate calculation means.
