PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic program selection device for precisely and automatically selecting a program suitable for user's taste from programs accompanying program information. SOLUTION: It is determined whether a viewing history for each program stored by the device is the viewing history of a program that a user viewed with interest, or is the viewing history of a program that the user vaguely viewed without interest according to the viewing situation of a program before and after the program and the program selection operation situation of the user who is viewing the program for selection.
