PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid planetary gear transmission for improving load travelling performance and actualizing smooth shifting operation with fluid under high speed rotation by forming a double safe structure with the planetary gear transmission and a directly connected clutch connected in parallel to a fluid three-element torque converter for allowing the travel with the fluid three-element torque converter when a trouble occurs in the direct connected clutch or a medium speed planetary gear and by rotating a fluid three-element torque converter stator whose speed is reduced by the planetary gear transmission to cover the shortage of the torque of an input pump. SOLUTION: During pedaling an accelerator pedal, the outer periphery of a low speed planetary annular gear is fixed to the outside together with a one-way clutch to actualize speed reduced rotation start and low speed travel with the fluid three-element torque being added. During medium speed travel, a torque converter stator leads the travel via a medium speed planetary gear transmission while enduring load. During high speed travel, the centrifugal directly connected clutch is operated for direct-connection travel. Low and medium speed one-way clutches are each automatically disconnected when an input/output shaft rotating speed ratio is smaller than a planetary gear reduction ratio. Although the travel is allowed with the fluid torque converter in a high efficiency region where high-rotation oil is heavier than mercury with centrifugal force, smooth travel is assisted with the double safety of the planetary gear transmission. During low speed travel when not pedaling the accelerator pedal, a band brake in linkage is disconnected to allow the travel with the fluid three-element torque converter while preventing the rotation stop of an engine on the side of an input shaft.
