PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collapsible and conveniently carriable base leg for a small jack for reducing weight. SOLUTION: In this base leg 1 for the jack, a sliding pipe 4 slidable in the vertical direction is fitted around a lower end part of a main column 3; respective one ends of three or more of connecting rods 7 arranged in a radial shape, are rotatably journaled around the sideways axis to a lower end part of this sliding pipe 4; leg installing pieces 6 similar to the connecting rods 7 are similarly installed in a radial shape in an intermediate part proper place of the main column 3; the upper-lower ends of a leg rod 5 are respectively rotatably journaled around the sideways axis to the respective loose ends of the leg installing pieces 6 and the connecting rods 7; and a jack installing base 2 is arranged on the upper end of the main column 3.
