PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat discharge device for an engine room capable of ensuring a sufficient amount of cooling air without obstructing a visual field of a driver by a cover body for opening/closing an opening formed on an engine hood. SOLUTION: The heat discharge device S for the engine room is provided with the engine hood 10 having the opening 11 for communicating the outside of the vehicle with the inside of the engine room 2; a cover body 20 capable of opening/closing the opening 11; an opening/closing mechanism 30 for driving the cover body 20 in the opening/closing direction. The opening 11 is provided on a negative pressure generation area on the engine hood 10 during traveling of the vehicle and the opening/closing mechanism 30 opens/closes the opening 11 by sliding the cover body 20.
