<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recorded article which does not have stickiness after the formation of a coating layer, has a high gloss, and of which the gloss unevenness is suppressed, and of which the gas resistance is good, in an image forming method which forms the coating layer with a liquid composition after an image is formed. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming method of forming an image recorded article having the coating layer at least at a part of the image has three processes. In the first process, the liquid composition containing a high molecular compound is prepared. In the second process, the image recorded article which is formed by the inkjet recording method on a recording medium having an ink acceptance layer is prepared. In the third process, the liquid composition is imparted to at least a part on the image of the recorded article, and the coating layer is formed on the surface of the image with the high molecular compound contained in the liquid composition. Then, a ratio R for an average pore diameter D (nm) of the ink acceptance layer, and the molecule size Rh (nm) of the water soluble high molecular compound contained in the liquid composition in a water soluble medium is set in a specified range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
