<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an inconvenience that an end face edge of a center pin breaks a separator, etc. in crushing a nonaqueous secondary battery, by disposing the center pin at the center part of an electrode body in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are wound through the separator and by devising the shape of the center pin. <P>SOLUTION: An inside of a battery can 5 has an electrode body in which a positive electrode 1 using a lithium containing complex oxide of which the open voltage in charging indicates 4 V or higher at a Li reference as a positive active substance and a negative electrode 2 using a carbon material of which the inter-surface distance (d002) of a (002) face of a crystal is 0.350 nm or shorter are wound in a spiral manner through a separator 3, and a hollow tubular center pin 16 is housed in the central cavity part of the electrode body. The center pin 16 is formed by machining a stainless steel sheet into a cylindrical form and both edge faces 16a, 16a of metallic material extending along with its axial direction are opposite to each other.
