<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a recording medium into a holding part such as a holder without mistake in direction. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 is equipped with a printing means which prints characters and images to the recording medium (rolled sheet 30), a recording medium transfer means (transfer motor 7) which transfers the recording medium in a predetermined transfer direction, and an identification mark printing means (printing head 3) which prints an identification mark to a specific position of the recording medium at the time of a specific motion. In a form of moving in a main scanning direction to the recording medium, the image forming apparatus 1 is equipped with the recording medium transfer means which transfers the recording medium in the predetermined transfer direction, the printing head 3 which prints characters and images by ejecting ink to the recording medium, a carriage 4 which moves back and force in a predetermined scanning direction carrying the printing head 3, and the identification mark printing means which prints the identification mark 31 to the specific position of the recording medium at the time of the specific motion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
