PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably clamp a cutting insert by facilitating molding of contacting surfaces and contacted surfaces and making them contact with each other at a specified contacting position in the cross direction. SOLUTION: A pair of inclined flat surfaces 15 inclined so as to make a protruded V letter shape on a cross-section along the contacting direction is furnished on the contacting surfaces 4B on the side of an insert mounting seat 4 so as to clamp the cutting insert 11 furnished with a pair of the contacted surfaces to make contact with a pair of the contacting surfaces in the contacting direction on the insert mounting seat 4 furnished with a pair of the contacting surfaces facing against each other, the contacted surfaces 14B of the cutting insert 11 are made into a recessed V letter shape furnished with a pair of protruded curved surfaces 16 having roundness to be protruded toward the side of these inclined flat surfaces 15 and they are made contact with each other at a pair of the contacting positions R with an interval in the cross direction orthogonal with the contacting direction.
