PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly performance air cleaner installable in a narrow installation area. SOLUTION: A housing 2 has an upper section 12 and a lower section 13 partitioned upper and lower stages and the upper section 12 contains an upper motor 17, a fan 18, and an upper constituent unit 25 comprising a powder dust filter 14 and a deodorization filter 15 and the lower section 13 contains a lower motor 22, a fan 23, and a lower constituent unit 26 comprising a coarse dust filter 19 and a filter 20 exclusively for pollen. Consequently, since the upper constituent unit 25 and the lower constituent unit 26 are arranged in upper and lower two stages, the air cleaner 1 is prevented from becoming thick and can be installed in a narrow installation surface area.
