PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head stack assembly to be easily reworked, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A disk drive includes a disk drive main body; a disk stack having at least one magnetic disk; a spindle motor; and the head stack assembly. The head stack assembly includes at least one head gimbal assembly; and a control trace for controlling at least one head gimbal assembly. A first terminal pad is arranged on the head gimbal assembly. A second terminal pad to be connected to the first terminal pad is arranged in the control trace.
