PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device for saving power by reducing a load on the feeding motor of an optical pickup and preventing a backlash between the guide groove of a screw and a rack engagement part in a feeding mechanism part. SOLUTION: The rack 11 arranged in an optical pickup 2 includes the engagement part 11a having slopes 11a1 and a circular arcuate part 11a2 arranged at the distal end of the slopes. The tooth part 8b of the screw 8 to be engaged with the engagement part includes a first inclination part 8b1 with a larger inclination angle; and a second inclination part 8b2 which is arranged in a rotary center direction when compared with the first inclination part 8b1, having the inclination angle which is smaller than that of the first inclination part 8b1. The second inclination angle is set to be smaller than the inclination angle of the inclination part which is arranged in a screw tooth part when one inclination part is engaged with the rack. The engagement part 11a comes into contact with the second inclination part 8b2 and also a gap is provided between the engagement part 11a and the first inclination part 8b1.
