PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable writing instrument which draws an arbitrary planetary-orbit toward an arbitrary location in a simple operation. SOLUTION: A rotary spindle 2 is passed through the center of an inner ring 1 and in an arm 3 installed to the rotary spindle 2, an outer ring is rotatably installed so that its outer circumference is in contact with the inner periphery of the inner ring 1. In the lower part of the rotary spindle 2, a beam 5 is installed so as to arbitrarily change a protruding amount. At the leading end of the beam 5, a writing-instrument rotary shaft 7 holding a writing-instrument installation arm 6 is installed so as to arbitrarily change the position of the writing instrument. Further, the center axis of the outer ring 4 and the writing-instrument rotary shaft 7 are connected together by a joint 8 which transmits a rotary motion even when their mutual center axes are off the point.
