PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an efficient and accurate judgement on whether an image input value is appropriate or not. SOLUTION: Conversion data indicating the conversion from input values to color measurement values is formed by using the input values by picking up the image of a reference chart and the color measurement values by a color measurement. In addition, an objective image input value which is obtained by picking up an arbitrary conversion objective image is converted by using the conversion data. In this case, the reference chart includes a reference chart making date image indicating a reference chart making date on which the reference chart is making. In addition, color measuring date data indicating a color measuring date is added to the reference chart color measurement value data indicating the color measurement values of the reference chart. Also, whether the making date specified from the reference chart making date image agrees with the color measuring date added to the reference chart color measurement value data or not is judged.
