A GPS (11) acquires positional information, a lane recognition section (12) recognizes the traveling lane of a driver's own vehicle, a driver recognition section (13) recognizes the driver, and traveling history data (23) stores traveling routes of the past. A lane route setting section (22) sets a lane route on which the driver's own vehicle is to go through, the lane route being set as a planned traveling lane based on a planned traveling route and a traveling lane that are set by an entire route setting section (21), and a guidance processing section (30) controls the contents and timing of route guidance based on a road shape, difficulty of driving operation, driver's skill and traveling history, and traffic information.
