<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visibility improvement assisting device capable of enhancing visual recognition ability (visibility) of a driver driving a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The visibility improvement assisting device is provided with a noise generation device 10 and a noise production device 20. In the noise production device 20, a noise production part 22 produces visual noise of the optimum noise intensity set based on a threshold value of visually recognizable noise intensity and outputs it to a control part 21. The optimum noise intensity is made to the noise intensity suitable for inducing stochastic resonance (SR). When a lighting switch 30 is in the OFF state, the control part 21 transmits a control signal (driving request signal) corresponding to the noise outputted from the noise production part 22 to a driving part 12 of the noise generation device 10.
