<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide safe and comfortable bidirectional image and sound television communication with simple operability. <P>SOLUTION: For the construction of a comfortable bidirectional image and sound television communication net, an optical line is used. This system copes with the optical line and exclusive equipment for which radio and infrared ray transmission and reception functions are added to an optical line protocol converter is provided.
