<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method useful for synthesizing a compound having a hydroxy group and an amino group in the same molecule in which only the amino group is protected according to a method for selectively deprotecting only the side of the hydroxy group for the compound having the hydroxy group and amino group in the molecule in which both the functional groups are protected with arylmethyl groups. <P>SOLUTION: The method for production is carried out as follows. A compound containing a group represented by formula (1) Ar-OR<SP>1</SP>(wherein, R<SP>1</SP>denotes a substituted or an unsubstituted arylmethyl group; and Ar denotes a substituted or an unsubstituted aromatic ring) and a group represented by formula (2) NR<SP>2</SP>(wherein, R<SP>2</SP>denotes a substituted or an unsubstituted arylmethyl group) is catalytically reduced in the presence of a basic additive to keep the group represented by formula (2) as it is and convert the group represented by formula (1) into formula (1') Ar-OH. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
