PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protective film that is stuck on the surface of electronic parts, for example, a liquid crystal display or the like for protecting the electronic parts from being stained or hurt by sticking the protective film on the surface of these equipments and provide a method for producing the protective film. SOLUTION: A monomer is vaporized on the surface of the base film and polymerized on the base film thereby forming a conductive polymer layer, then an adhesive layer is formed on the conductive layer, thus surface-protecting film is prepared. Simultaneously, an oxidizing agent is applied on the surface of the base film and a monomer is allowed to come into contact with an oxidizing agent to effect polymerization thereby forming the conductive layer comprising the conductive polymer on the surface of the base material, then the adhesive layer is formed on the conductive layer to form the surface protecting film.
