PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video reproducing apparatus and a video reproducing method simply adjusting colors of a displayed video image in a way congenial to a user. SOLUTION: When a color adjustment mode is selected and e.g., manual adjustment is selected, a user uses a region designation operation (pointer) to designate an optional color part of a displayed image for adjusting the color of the designated part. In this case, the colors can more accurately be adjusted by referring also to color data of pixels around a pixel designated by the pointer so as to particularize the color of the designated part.
