PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automating the insertion of a PCB test pad and a jig probe. SOLUTION: The method is used to automatically insert a test pad into a printed circuit board, so as to determine the position of one or plural test pads along each of one or plural nets in a certain designed printed circuit board. It includes a step to execute a computed test pad positioning algorithm, and a step wherein one or plural test pads are inserted into the printed circuit board at one or plural test pad positions without changing any net or route in the designed printed circuit board and the design of the corrected printed circuit board is created.
