PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus wherein a pressure at a nip part by heating roller and a pressurizing belt in a fixing device using the pressurizing belt is made appropriate and melting performance of an unfixed developer in the nip part and peeling performance of a medium to be transferred are improved. SOLUTION: The color image forming apparatus includes a photoreceptor drum 21, a transfer belt 31 to which a toner image on the photoreceptor drum 21 is transferred, a transfer roller 36 for transferring the toner image on the transfer belt 31 to recording paper, and a fixing unit 27 for thermally fixing the toner image on the recording paper by the heating roller 27a and a pressurizing belt 271. The color image forming apparatus is provided with a pressing device 276 which presses the pressurizing belt 271 to the heating roller 27a from behind within a pressure-contact range between the pressurizing belt 271 and the heating roller 27a and has a function of enabling displacement of a pressing position and a function of enabling adjustment of pressing force.
