PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral conveyor type freezer that can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: The spiral conveyor type freezer comprises a housing 1 having a carry-in port 2 and a carry-out port 3 in almost the same height position; first and second cooling chambers formed in the housing; a first rotating drum 9A provided in a rising attitude of extending downward from almost the same height position as the carry-in port 2 in the first cooling chamber 6A; a second rotating drum 9B provided in a rising attitude of extending downward from almost the same height position as the carry-out port 3 in the second cooling chamber 6B; an endless spiral belt 11 circularly traveling to travel a spiral downward travel path with the rotation of the first rotating drum, to travel a spiral upward travel path with the rotation of the second rotating drum and to return to the carry-in port via the carry-out port; a first cooler 16A and first blowers 17A provided above the first rotating drum in the first cooling chamber; and a second cooler 16B and second blowers 17B provided above the second rotating drum in the second cooling chamber.
