PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive baseboard for a temporary scaffold capable of always effectively preventing falling of an article, by always surely and stably installing the baseboard regardless of the size of the clearance caused between a building frame and the outermost scaffold plank, while being highly convenient in handling in installation and disassembling with extremely reduced weight. SOLUTION: This baseboard 1 for the temporary scaffold is freely installed in a rising shape between horizontal members 60 for constituting the temporary scaffold. The baseboard 1 is composed of a baseboard body 2 having a required width and the length, a pair of both side fixing metal fittings 3 respectively suspended in both end parts of the baseboard body 2 to be fixed to the horizontal members 60 while sandwiching a gripping metal fitting 62 of the scaffold plate 61 installed between the horizontal members 60, and a lock piece 8 rotatably installed via respective pins 10 on at least one outside surface of the respective both side fixing metal fittings 3 to be locked by locking on the horizontal members 60.
