PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of enhancing temperature measurement accuracy of air-conditioned air fed into a cabin and performing fine temperature control even in the state in which an amount of air is little. SOLUTION: A temperature detection means 9 comprising an in-car sensor base part 19 attached to a casing 17 and an in-car sensor element 20 projected into the casing 17 and detecting a temperature of air delivered from a fan 15 is provided in a downstream side of the fan 15 and in an upstream side of a heat exchanger 11. Thereby, since air is stirred by the fan 15 and the temperature is made uniform, an average temperature of the air can be measured in the downstream side of the fan 15 and since an air speed is relatively large at the delivery side of a blower 7, an influence to the air temperature by heat generation of the temperature detection means 9 can be reduced even when the fan 15 is rotated at a low speed.
