A molding method and a molding machine capable of reducing a load applied to a drive part for mold clamping and a molded product. A molding material is filled, multiple times, in a cavity space, mold clamping is performed each time the molding material is filled, and a base plate is retreated by a specified mold thickness adjusting amount at a specified timing to adjust the origin position of a toggle mechanism. Since a compression force is increased, the load applied to the drive part for mold clamping can be reduced.
