<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method for an information recording medium which forms a highly reliably recording mark when high speed recording is performed which exceeds the limit of speeding-up in a laser driver. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for recording the recording mark in the information recording medium based on modulation codes, the laser driver, by which the rising time (Ts) and falling time (Te) of a light emission pulse are respectively ≤2nsec, is used. In the case that the ratio of the total (Ts+Te) of the rising time (Ts) and the falling time (Te) to the whole radiation time (Tm) of the light emission pulse is ≥0.5, i.e., the case where a high speed recording mark is recorded on condition which exceeds the limit of the speeding-up in the laser driver, the all recording marks of recording code lengths nT are recorded by one pulse. The pulse is controlled to have a shape to attenuate recording power in starting the radiation in terms of an index function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
