OPTICAL DISK DRIVE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive which can correct the recording laser power learned in the outer learning area to obtain an optimum value in the data area even when the recording property of the outer learning area of the optical disk is different from that of the data area.

SOLUTION: The recording laser power is learned at the same linear velocity in the inner learning area and in the outer learning area. An inner/outer circumference difference correction factor is calculated from the relation between both values of the obtained laser power, and the recording laser power learned in the outer learning area is corrected by using this correction factor.
