<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of locking rotation of a steering shaft without being affected by the size of a worm wheel, in the electric power steering device capable of mounting a tilt telescopic mechanism without being hindered by a lock means for antitheft and locking the rotation of the steering shaft by using the worm wheel. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with a worm interlocked and connected to an output shaft of an electric motor, the worm wheel 42 linked with the steering shaft by being engaged with the worm, a locked body 45 having engagement recessed parts 45a at a plurality of cicumferential positions and mounted on a side surface of the worm wheel 42, and the lock means 5 for locking the rotation of the steering shaft via the locked body 45 and the worm wheel 42 by being engaged to the engagement recessed parts 45a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
