PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin foam sheet which can obtain a molded article having a desired thickness without reduction in thickness even by thermoforming by heating at a temperature of not lower than the melting temperature of a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin foam sheet is a foam sheet composed of a thermoplastic resin and has a ratio of increase in thickness, when heated at the melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin, of 0-50%, and accordingly can surely obtain a molded article having a desired thickness by surely preventing the reduction in thickness when the thermoplastic resin foam sheet is subjected to thermoforming, and the obtained molded article has a desired thickness and excellent mechanical strength.
