PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder in which image quality is prevented from deteriorating due to image noise or uneven density by preventing adhesion of satellites and ink mist to a recording medium. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder where recording is performed during reciprocal motion of a carriage by ejecting a plurality of ink drops from the ejection openings of a recording head comprises a wind feed mechanism provided in the carriage and feeding wind between the recording head surface and a platen, and a means for switching the recording head for the same recording region on a recording medium by the number of scanning times of the recording head in the main scanning direction.
