PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording head which supports high density solid printing or one-pass printing, prints normal color images of a plain paper for DTP at high speeds and realizes both highly gradational photographic image printing and high-speed printing. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording head comprises a plurality of ink discharge openings, a common ink liquid chamber storing inks to be supplied to the ink discharge openings, an ink supply opening to supply inks to the common ink liquid chamber, a plurality of ink channels making the ink discharge openings and the common ink liquid chamber communicate with each other, ink channel walls forming the ink channels, and an ink discharge energy generation element to give discharge energy to the inks in the ink channels. The common ink liquid chamber makes first ink discharge openings made up of small discharge openings to discharge small droplets and medium discharge openings to discharge medium droplets communicate with second ink discharge openings composed of large discharge openings to discharge large droplets and the medium openings to discharge medium droplets.
