PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create color conversion parameters capable of attaining color reproduction with high precision as a whole while suppressing image obstacles such as false profile. SOLUTION: In a color gamut map from a predetermined monitor color reproduction zone to the color reproduction zone of a printer (S403), an evaluation value (smaller value represents higher precision) representing the precision of color transformation is set below a predetermined value for color transformation parameters controlling its color transformation (S404, S405, S406). Since the color transformation parameters function to prevent the occurrence of image obstacles such as a false profile in a color gamut map, color reproduction with high precision can be attained as a whole while suppressing image obstacles such as the false profile.
