PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it difficult to illegally use image data obtained by decrypting a cipher or the like. SOLUTION: An image display apparatus for generating a display image by modulating image data output from an image data output device by an electro-optical modulation device, comprises a correction parameter processing part 12 having a function for outputting a correction parameter for correcting the image data to the image data output device on the basis of a correction parameter sending request from the image data output device and an image display processing part 11 having a function for inputting corrected image data corrected by the image data output device based on the correction parameter, modulating the corrected image data by the electro-optical modulation device and generating a display image.
