PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film transfer device capable of preventing film from being damaged even if an operator inadvertently performs operation related to detaching a cartridge in the midst of feeding or rewinding the film. SOLUTION: The film transfer device equipped with a cartridge loading part in which the cartridge containing the film is loaded so as to cope with the pull-in/pull-out of the film is equipped with a cartridge monitoring means for monitoring the state of the cartridge loading part. When the cartridge monitoring means determines that the cartridge loading part is in a loading release state in the midst of feeding the film, feeding the film is stopped, whereby damage inflicted on the film is prevented.
