PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing color wheel capable of forming a blue light transmission filter, a red light transmission filer and a green light transmission filter on the surface of a color wheel main body with a simple operation in a short time without requiring much labor, easily selecting wavelength by the use of coloring agents with a single layer without giving a stress to the color wheel body and manufacturing the color wheel at low cost without incident angle dependence, and to provide the color wheel obtained according to the manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the color wheel is composed of application means that applies coloring liquid glasses for forming a blue light transmission region filter, a red light transmission region filter and a green light transmission region filter on the surface of the color wheel body made of light-transmittable material.
