摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material which has ultrahigh contrast and is stable to variation in processing humidity during heat development as a material for a scanner or an image setter for printing plate making, and to provide an image forming method for the same. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material having on a support at least one image forming layer containing a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for the organic silver salt, a photosensitive silver halide, a contrast enhancer and a binder and at least one non-photosensitive layer which protects the image forming layer, each layer has a water permeability of 1-15 g/atm m<SP>2</SP>25°C day and a layer remoter from the support has a smaller water permeability than an inner layer, wherein 1 atm is 1.01325×10<SP>5</SP>Pa.
